Eliza Powell started her photographic career in the early 1990s working as a picture editor for Reuters News Agency in London, England. Working alongside some of the best photojournalists in the world was an invaluable experience that shaped her love of photography and storytelling.

After travelling through Russia, Ukraine, South Sudan and then Bosnia Herzegovina, she settled first in Botswana and then Tanzania. Working as a photographer and videographer, her work covers marketing and promotional photographs and films for safari and tourism companies, as well as NGO’s and non-profit organisations.

She is currently working closely with safari company Nomad Tanzania, recently setting up their Nomad Film Unit, an in-house media team for all their imagery and films, as well as being a training facility for young photographers and filmmakers. More details can be found here.
